ACA's NeedlePoint Bi-Polar Ionization (NPBI     ). If it's in the cabin, it will pass through here. Like the supreme allied commander of white blood cells, it waits in the pass, destroying every contaminant and pathogen.

Throughout the conditioned space of the aircraft, all pathogens are removed by electronically creating positive (H+) and negative (OH-) ions from Hydrogen and Oxygen molecules in the water vapor present in the air.

It is a 100% replication of                 nature's           cleaning process.

Nothing else is added.

There isn’t an air traveler on the planet that hasn’t felt the nauseating fusion of jet exhaust, body odors and the industrial disinfectants that are trying to cover it all up. And that’s just the stuff our olfactory is immediately aware of.

Then comes the more cerebral awareness that you’re literally breathing the germs and pathogens of everyone else in the cabin. But we all more or less took it in stride…that is until COVID showed up. Sure, the concerns of clean air aboard aircraft mattered before – but by mid-2020, those concerns were instantly ratcheted up a hundred-fold. But one company had begun quietly solving the problem years before, and presumably without a crystal ball to see what was coming. And they weren’t simply interested in better filtration of cabin air but literally (and instantly) neutralizing bacteria and pathogens before it ever reenters the cabin.

Aviation Clean Air (ACA) is a partnership between several well-established, seasoned entities. Collectively, the ACA management team has decades of experience in the aviation industry and environmental purification field. ACA offers the only proactive system that immediately improves interior air quality, eliminates odors and kills pathogens in the air and on surfaces wherever they live throughout the cabin and cockpit of the aircraft. That may seem like a bold assertion, but it’s a well-supported statement of fact backed up by a mountain of data.

So how did it all come to pass? After the company was formed, ACA began working on the development and design of a technology that had earned some success in land- based applications. But much refinement and testing were necessary in adapting it for   aviation. DO-160 testing is the mandated standard for any such system being proposed for use on aircraft. The undertaking is both rigorous and time consuming, but all testing criteria must be met and adhered to – as governed by Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment. These criteria are set by the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA), considered the standard for environmental testing of avionics hardware. The ACA Component was therefore extensively tested, both within the laboratory environment and in the field. Today it meets and/or exceeds all requirements of the RCTA DO-160.

it is a proactive, natural purification process that uses NO chemicals and requires no maintenance or filters to be changed - or charged plates to clean. The system provides constant decontamination of the aircraft interior throughout its operational cycle (from pressurization to depressurization).

ACA’s patented Airborne Unit, which is certified for aircraft installation by FAA Supplemental Type Certification (STC), provides constant decontamination of the aircraft interior, keeping passengers and crew protected throughout the flight. The proactive system operates through the aircraft’s existing environmental control system (ECS), and immediately kills pathogens in the air and on surfaces.

The patented NPBI™ Ionization technology that powers ACA’s units immediately:

Neutralizes Surface and Airborne Viruses, and Bacteria, including COVID-19

Sterilizes Mold and Improves Air Quality

Neutralizes Most Common Organic Gases (VOCs)

Removes Odors, Dust and Pollen

Reduces Static Electricity

Perhaps its biggest distinguisher is that it is a proactive, natural purification process that uses NO chemicals and requires no maintenance or filters to be changed - or charged plates to clean. The system provides constant decontamination of the aircraft interior throughout its operational cycle (from pressurization to depressurization).

ACA has Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) for the system and is an Approved Supplier to several OEM aircraft manufacturers. ACA holds the Patent for Design and Utility: for the Aircraft Proactive Air and Surface Purification Component from the U.S. Patent Office.

In March 2020, ACA partnered with International Aero Engineering (IAE) to offer its Ionization Purification System as a Portable Ground Unit. The unit utilizes the same tested, proven technology as ACA’s patented airborne system to effectively clean and purify aircraft interiors while on the ground. The electric-powered ionization and air blower unit (110V or 220V) decontaminates the interior in one to two hours, depending on aircraft size. A smaller unit, the Mini Ground Unit, is also available. The company recently introduced a large capacity unit, suitable for warehouses, hangars and other large venues.

Is ACA the only manufacturer of effective aircraft air purification systems? No, certainly not. But as with most competing technologies, defining the efficacy is what matters. In the post-COVID world we all now live and travel in, limited or marginal effectiveness is no longer an acceptable mark, be it commercial or private. We all need our families and our guest to be protected as completely as current technology allows, always. And today, that mark squarely belongs to ACA. No other company (or system) thus far has managed to challenge the efficacy of ACA’s system. It removes odors, pathogens and bacteria with instantaneous efficiency, with very few moving parts and is able to be installed in virtually any aircraft’s existing ECS.

And that’s hard to beat!
